Why Xbox 360's Games on Demand Service is Failing
By David Leavitt
Featured Video Games Contributor
There is no doubt about it, digital distribution of video games is key to the future of the video game industry. With successful intermediaries such as Steam, it is clear that the digital distribution of PC games is not only viable, but profitable as well. However, in a world of ever increasingly superior technologies and lower prices, Microsoft has managed to drop the ball when it comes to their handling of digital distribution - specifically with their Games on Demand service on their Xbox 360 entertainment system - and that is why Xbox 360's Games on Demand service is failing.

Game Room for Xbox 360 and PC is an innovative gaming experience. Available for free from the Xbox Live Marketplace, in Game Room players customize their own virtual arcade to play in, and friends can visit. Win a free booster box of Rise of the Eldrazi
By David Leavitt
Boston Magic: the Gathering Examiner
Magic: the Gathering can be an expensive hobby. Not everyone can afford to keep up with Standard and acquire playsets of all the newest staples, such as Jace, the Mindsculptor. The vast majority of casual Magic: the Gathering players (who make far more purchases than tournament players) are on a budget and might only participate in a prerelease event and a few of drafts for each set. They will then resort to trading with other Magic: the Gathering players and buying singles from dealers. While many players may not “love” dealers, they are an integral part of the Magic: the Gathering community that provide the ability to get any Magic card in a heartbeat. Some even give back. Luckily Toad and Troll is in the “giving” category, and is giving away a free booster box of Rise of the Eldrazi to a lucky poster on GatheringMagic.com.

Signs in Magic: The Gathering - How to read basic signals
By David Leavitt
Boston Magic: the Gathering Examiner
Magic: The Gathering is a collectible card game (CCG) that was created by Richard Garfield in early 1993. In simplicity, it's a game that combines the strategy and intellectualism of chess with the wit and cunning of poker. In reality mastering Magic: the Gathering it is more complex than chess and poker combined. The pieces of a chess board are static, do not change, and there is only a finite number of opening moves and counter moves. Magic: the Gathering is in a constant state of flux and ever expanding with each new expansion set - providing near infinite pieces, moves, and possibilities. There are many signs in Magic: the Gathering to read, and not all of them are during game play. In fact if one looks closely then he or she can interpret the signs in Magic: the Gathering that their opponents tell them - before the first card is even played.

I ran a Tezz variant, and was totally unprepared for a meta filled with Mystic Remora's...at least I picked up some more Underground Seas :)
